Our Story
Established by Iain and Teresa Paterson, Blue Shore Builders carries forward a family tradition of excellence. Iain, a Certified General Contractor since 2012, grew up learning the art of construction alongside his father, a respected builder in the Bahamas, and has honed his craft over 20 years in residential and commercial construction. Teresa brings over two decades of expertise in operations and business management, transforming businesses into thriving enterprises and streamlining processes for outstanding results. Together, Iain and Teresa, raising three children in Delray Beach, have built deep roots in South Florida for over 30 years.

We believe building or redesigning your dream home shouldn’t be complex or overwhelming. Our mission is to simplify the process, making it exciting and seamless while delivering exceptional quality. By taking on a select number of projects each year, we ensure every client receives our full attention and personalized experience.
Our Community Commitment
Iain’s dedication to his community shines through his volunteer work. He co-founded the Socially Distanced Supper Club to support local restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic and led initiatives to deliver food, water, and clothing to hurricane-affected areas. In recognition of his efforts, Iain was honored with the Key to the City of Delray Beach in 2020 and named Elk of the Year in 2020 and 2021.
